Judy Miner - College President, Opera Lover, Audiobibliophile

President of Foothill College in Northern California, Judy is the daughter of a Guamanian father and a Mexican mother, the youngest of five and the only one to attend college. Passionate about opera she has traveled the globe to attend performances in Poland, Sweden, Russia, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, and of course, Italy.

In addition to meetings on the east coast, she frequently travels between San Francisco and Los Angeles, which can require logistical athleticism. "For my next trip I will leave my car at the office, attend a meeting in Los Altos Hills then have my assistant drop me at the San Jose airport. I'll be in LA for dinner with the Gates Foundation CEO, back for a 9 am meeting in Cupertino, back in San Francisco for the opening of the opera and then back to LA the next day for the opera opening there."

"My cosmetic kit is always packed so I just toss it in my bag. I take separates in black, red, and white that can mix and match. Vacuum bags are my secret for getting the most into the smallest space."

"I have a black faux suede skirt and shirt that are comfortable for the flight and versatile as separates on the ground. My Cole Haan black mules are de rigeur."

Must have: "My iPod loaded with four or five New York Times Bestsellers.

Favorite airline: Virgin America. Also, it is in the International Terminal at SFO so I can indulge in at my favorite place for Italian coffee - Il Fornaio.
