| A “road warrior” for the last
two decades, Kathleen (Kathy) Ameche is the CEO and President
of the Ameche Group
LLC a company she founded to help businesswomen maneuver through
the business travel maze, master the corporate environment
and create a satisfactory work-life balance, based on her
more than 25 year of professional experience. From this base
she has also developed the MicciMicci line of women’s travel accessories.
Throughout her career, Kathy has logged nearly 2,000,000
miles of business travel. That led her to write her first
book, The Woman Road Warrior: A Woman's
Guide to Business Travel (Agate 2005). The book has
been rated #1 several times on Amazon's best-seller list
for business travel since its launch in 2005. The second
edition of, The Woman Road Warrior:
An Expert's Guide to Domestic and International Business
Travel was released
in May of 2007. Both Kathy and her book have been featured
in The New York Times, The Washington Post, American Way
Magazine and international news websites such as CNN.com,
WomensWallStreet.com and Businessweek.com. She has appeared
as a featured travel expert on CBS-WBBM in Chicago and has
been interviewed by Jean Chatzky on Oprah & Friends
(XM Satellite Radio). She has made many guest
speaking appearances including The
Library of Congress, Cisco, IBM, Accenture, Deloitte and
Kirkland & Ellis.
In addition to her work with The Ameche Group, Kathy is
currently Vice President and Strategy Executive with RightPoint
Consulting a management and technology consulting firm, she
is the former Vice President and Chief Information Officer
for the Tribune Company,
a Fortune 500 media and entertainment company. Kathy has
held other senior positions with companies in the consulting
and technology sectors, including Dun & Bradstreet Software.
She began her career as a consultant with Deloitte,
an international public accounting firm.
Kathy co-founded a leadership group for women Chief Information
Officers (CIO's); this invitation-only organization provides
collaboration and support to senior female corporate executives
in the Chicago area. She has been a member of the board of
directors of the Girl
Scouts of Chicago and the Advisory
Board of Loyola University's Center of Information
Management and Technology Group. When not traveling, Kathy
lives in Chicago with her family. | |
